Follow The Sycamore School

The Sycamore School acknowledges that there are different ways in which the community talks about autism – some use Identity first language, ‘Autistic person’ and some use person first language, ‘person with autism’. Here at The Sycamore School we believe that our young people should be celebrated for their strengths, that they are valued and empowered to be proud of the unique capabilities’ autism brings to their life. The Sycamore School is using identity first language.
